It's Ricki's little ramshackle apartment, but there Peter is one morning, perched on the loveseat, reading a file, waiting for Bruce Wayne to arrive.

He has a gun, but tucked out of sight, not on his person. Just in case.

"He'll understand."

Peter predicts, quietly, leaning back into his hands.

[profiteering]

"He will."

Bruce always understands. It's why he has become the one that Tony goes to.

"But you have to tell him."

[watchesthewatchers]

"I'll talk to him."

Is all he'll agree to.

It's a step.

[profiteering]

"Good boy."

He kisses him lightly.

"I need a drink. Want one? Wait--did they give you pills already?"

[watchesthewatchers]

"I hate medication and I don't take pills from strangers."

Sneering.

[profiteering]

"Good. A drink isn't medication, and I think after you see someone naked three times you can't call them a stranger anymore."

Tony winks at him and pours himself a glass. Then he pours Peter one, too; if he doesn't want it he can just let the ice melt in it.

[watchesthewatchers]

"Everyone's seen you naked three times."

Protests Peter, mutinously.

[profiteering]

"I believe the round goes to Mister Guillam, sir."

"Shut up, Jarvis."

Tony flops back down with him. He smiles at him.

"He just likes you 'cause you're British."

[watchesthewatchers]

"He likes me because I'm cruel to you, and because you programmed him, and you're a masochist."

He spells out for him, sipping his drink.

[profiteering]

"You know I never actually thought of that. He's kinky like his Daddy."

Tony snickers, and taps his glass to Peter's.

"Should've asked, you're into cognac right?"

"I'm poor, I'm into mouthwash if the mood is right."

Telling him, throwing it back.

[profiteering]

Tony snorts.

"You have a sugar daddy, you can drink the good stuff whenever you want now."

[watchesthewatchers]

"That's right."

Recalling, with a faint smile.

"You're going to buy me a sniper rifle, aren't you, daddy?"

[profiteering]

Tony shivers, feeling incredibly inappropriate for how 'daddy' makes him feel. He grins.

"I'll design one just for you if you're very, very good."

He licks his lips.

"...Wow."

[watchesthewatchers]

"You liked that."

Peter judges, looking him up and down.

"I'm going to rock your universe of its' foundation the moment I'm not too hurt to manage to get it up."

[profiteering]

"I never got the 'daddy' thing. I had one girl call me that once, and I laughed so hard I couldn't get it up."

He grins at him, lazy and thoughtful and possessive.

"But you say it and I could just about take you right here anyway."

[watchesthewatchers]

"Oh, daddy, please."

He tells him, knees knocking together, slouching back in his seat like an errant schoolboy.

[profiteering]

"You're terrible."

He laughs, even as he leans in and kisses him. Hard.

"We should stop or I really will just- get really frustrated because you need to rest and heal before I can touch you."

Peter huffs, softly, and leans back. It's a measure of how hurt he is that he doesn't protest that he can do it, absolutely, definitely.

[profiteering]

"Drink your medicine."

He teases, but he's worried about Peter now, so he goes to get the ice himself.

"Do you ever notice how Bruce feels just- very steady?"

Peter asks him, shyly.

[profiteering]

Tony settles down and presses ice in a washcloth to Peter's cheek.

"He's my rock."

It's probably the most romantic, cliche thing he's ever said but there is no other way to describe the way he needs Bruce.

[watchesthewatchers]

"I'm glad to have you two to come back to."

Bright eyes opening.

"Wayne wants to you pay Ricki out. He says I'm slinking back to you, making him think he's alone."

[profiteering]

"Ricki would think I was trying to get rid of him if I did."

It's the only reason Tony sends him into danger: so that Ricki will know that Tony wants him.

"And slinking? I'd have you and Ricki both if I could, so this 'being alone' thing is shit."

"I did dislocate his shoulder. I'm not actually an angel, Tony."

Reminding him.
