"I'm not talking about Arthur, I'm talking about Nelson."

Slurs Peter, because the narrative is a little jumbled, now.

From:

"Shhh."

Says Tony, who has learned not to push for details of MI-6 business when his lover is high.

"Just tell us who your favorite hero is."

From:

"Iron Manatee has some regrets."

Answers Peter, dreamily.

Arthur's eyebrows skyrocket.

From:

Tony laughs, hard, and kisses his stomach.

For Arthur he's kind and explains: "he has a collection of Iron Man joke shirts for me."

From:

"I might lose them. Not sure it's a good idea to go back to the flat just yet, and you can expect them to turn it if I don't report in."

Peter tells him, stretching out to rest a cheek on his stomach.

From:

"We'll get you more."

Tony promises, massaging his fingers through Peter's hair.

"Arthur needs to see them."

From:

"I guess this does kind of dispel the anxiety about us meeting."

He says, thoughtfully.

From:

"I have a talent for that."

Tony teases, checking Peter's fingertips again to be sure he's still got bloodflow from his bad shoulder.

From:

He does, though even shifting his hand for Tony to see makes him draw in a short breath.

"I see why you love each other." Arthur admits, quietly.

From:

"He's not as hard to love as he thinks."

Tony says, warm and possessive.

"Are you, pet?"

From:

"I need you to tell me right now that if it's all gone to hell, if I can never set foot in London again, you'll help me, you'll let me stay if I need."

Peter begs him, very quietly.

"Would you? Give me amnesty, let me... be there, more than every few weekends?"

From:

"God, Peter, you'll be lucky if I can let you out of my sight for the next year. I already have a room that's yours at home, all you have to do is take it."

He wants so badly to hold him tight, but he's afraid of hurting him.

From:

He tips gingerly over, so he can curl up with his head on Tony's knee, eyes closing tight.

Arthur remains judiciously quiet, watching them both.

From:

Tony comes back from that serene, protective bubble in a moment and looks up at Arthur.

"Sorry."

He'll always feel compelled to deflect when he's caught in a tender moment.

From:

"Don't apologize. I see why you'd do just about anything for him. It makes before make more sense."

From:

"Good."

With genuine relief.

"Then you'll think about staying in New York?"

From:

"Yes." Says Peter, while Arthur shakes his head.

"Not me."

From:

"What, you don't like us anymore?"

Raising his eyebrows.

From:

"Fuck off."

Says Arthur, shaking his head.

"You don't just move in after a fight like that."

From:

"You're allergic to hotels now?"

Smirking, still playing placidly with Peter's hair.

"There are options. Compromises. Open yourself to possibilities."

From:

"This doesn't strike me as being particularly possible."

Is the issue with that statement.

From:

"This isn't a slumber party. We need to figure out what the hell is going to happen from here."

Tony says, losing all the play in his tone.

"If you need to disappear after the debriefing then I can't stop you, but I'm not asking because I just want a big sexy reunion."

From:

Arthur grins (bares his teeth) at him at the hostility. He looks a tiny bit strung out. It's been a rough few days.

"This is already turning into a repeat of last time."

From:

Tony grits his teeth and turns his attention back to Peter. They have a few hours left in the air, but better to spend it in terse silence than fighting, he decides.
